Deep Roots CSA has been formed by 3 local farms who have built a relationship between themselves and the communities they serve. Bobby Bever , Jennifer Chandler and Barbara Gosnell started this collaboration back in 2016. Moving forward in 2019, Gopher Knoll will have her own CSA but still supply a few items into the shares as they are available. We all have a desire to produce healthy, clean food for our local folks and doing it together allow us to serve more of you. Each farm has additional products they offer and those will be available for our customers as well. Check out each farm below and get a sense for who we are and our love of farming!
Jennifer Chandler and son Thomas! Chandler Family Farm Mabank, Texas The dream of this farm started in 2011 as I moved home to Texas and began this journey. It started very small with just a tiny plot to grow produce and now has grown into a full farm producing 3-5 acres of vegetables and pastured poultry. Our family farm is myself (Jennifer), handling most of the farm duties, my son Thomas who is the life of the farm and my Dad (Brant) who has been farming for his entire life. Thanks to him, his equipment and family land, all of my dreams have come true and continue to grow. We look forward to growing each year and providing healthy home grown food from our family to yours. Visit us at Facebook and Instagram.
Highway 19 Produce and Berries Bobby & Halie Bever with daughters Emersyn and Whittyn Athens, TX Highway 19 Produce and Berries is a family owned and operated farm based out of Athens,Texas. We began farming on our grandfather’s land; commuting back and forth from Richardson, Texas on the weekends. In 2013, Bobby graduated college with a degree in Horticulture, which is when we acquired more land to expand our farm. From there we uprooted the entire family to move to Athens to pursue farming full time. As a family we strive to better our processes and continue to grow as a fully functioning farm.
